HIYA SINGH…Truly Talented

Hiya Singh, a versatile artist started her career way back in the year 1998, in  the movie titled Hamara Faisla. She was cast as a leading lady opposite Ravi Kissen in the film, produced and directed by Jeetendra Javed.

Never the less, any Godfather, Hiya was offered acting assignments on account of her performances and was fortunate to work in the beginning of her career with top names of Bollywood like Sunil Shetty and Aishwarya Rai in Radhe Shyam Seeta Ram, wherein she played a younger sister of Aishwarya Rai, released in 2000. Later on Hiya did number of films like Mahal (1998), Daayan (title role), Arya Babbar, Veena Malik and Riya Sen starrer Zindagi 50 50, wherein she played a vamp.

A part from silver screen, Hiya has also worked on small screen in number of TV serials and Dil-E-Nadaan which deserves special mention as Hiya had a double role in it. The serial was telecast on DD National, being produced by Joy Mukherjee Productions.

          

Presently, Singh has become the talk of the town for her meritorious performance in her forthcoming film Bharat Shah Presentation ‘Love You Family’. In the film she plays a sister of the leading man Salman Yusuff Khan which is totally negative character and recalls the roles played by yesteryear veterans Bindu, Shashikala and Aruna Irani in  70’s-80’s movies… ‘It is the beginning of your career, then what was the reason to become a vamp in the film? The role was very challenging and when one has negatives shades  there is a lot of scope to perform. I’m happy with my work and fully satisfied as the film has shaped up very well Hiya uttered’ Further she adds ‘Director Sachindra Sharma has done a good job and all my co-stars have also put life in their respective roles. Both the producers Vipul Dewani and D S Bhatia are through gentlemen and were very co-operative during the making of the film Hiya uttered’.

Love You Family is a sheer family film which stars Salman Yusuff  Khan,  Aksha Pardasany, Kashyap, Shakti Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, Navni Parihar and Sonika Gill. Moreover, the music of the movie is becoming popular and it is releasing shortly. ‘You are here to play only negative characters? Not necessary. It all depends on the role I am offered and films set up, Hiya answered’.

In the list of  her forthcoming films which are complete and are slated for early release includes Flame. In the movie Hiya executes the character of institutionalized girl, which stars Hrishitaa Bhatt in the lead, being directed by My Friend Ganesha (fame) Rajiv  S. Ruia. The other release of Hiya is Haq-E-Salaani, a commercial drama focused on supernatural powers (Black Magic) based on Sailani Baba, being made under the banner Jii Thakur Shree Entertainment. In Haq-E-Salaani, she stars opposite Hamid Sumra. The film has music by Vaishnav Deva, produced by Mona Sharma and written-directed by Sandeep Solanki. Then there is Rajpal Yadav starrer Life of Kuku, again in which Hiya performs in a negative role, jointly produced by Micky Singh and Imad Ahmed Habib & directed by Rajiv S Ruia. Other than Bollywood, Hiya also acted in a Marathi movie titled Bala. In the movie Hiya’s co-star is Kamlesh Sawant Drishyam (fame).
